Hi. It's me again about my script/score which I inadvertently left at 49er Credit Union last Sunday.

I went to the theatre today and on the piano there was a copy looking very similar to mine.  It wasn't though so I didn't take it.  Mine had some areas highlighted in orange, pale orange.   Chorus parts,  Old Beggar woman's part etc.

But David said you were also doing turning? which is song #25?

I am in turning but none of the others.  I want to make sure I don't miss something again.

Missing you all

Hi Les Mis Family,

I want to remind you about, and apologize for, my extended absence.  My family and I are enjoying our time together and with our distant families during our vacation on the East Coast.  This time is extremely important to us and will help a lot when we hit theater crunch time.

However, I am sorry to be missing these important foundation rehearsals and will do everything I can to catch up when I return August 9.  I am working on my character profiles and would love to communicate about relationships if anyone would like be a close friend (or enemy) with my characters.  Also, if you have any questions for me as ensemble leader, Michelle Harwell has agreed to fill in for me until I return.  Thanks for your understanding!

It Takes a Bigger Foundation to Build a Cathedral Than An Outhouse

                   Kudos to these cast comrades:

Bob, Lanny, Tim, Grace, Karen, Addy, Kim and Kelsi
 . . . for getting their character bios in early  --
 ... for knowing their  ideas will change, grow and flow
 as the production moves along.
They jumped in and made choices and became a part of the foundation.   Casts, as well as sets, DO have foundations.
                   
Now they have ideas from which to cut characters, motivate themselves, understand their backgrounds and why they are who they are.  Now they can share their "truths" with other village members - creating a believable French village. 

Idea:  Ask them what they learned from this process . . . . . . . .

Set Construction Progress

Saturday was a milestone day for the set-
The 5 towers and the Barricade are now at the theater instead of blocking the Boltz's driveway!

There were a lot of folks on hand helping with the move and with painting.

Avenue Q - August

If you are going to see Erick Lindley in Avenue Q at Sierra Stages in Nevada City on August 2nd and would like to join some of us for dinner at Lefty's Grill, also in Nevada City, let me know right away and I'll add you to the reservation I've setup for a large group!

The reservation is for 6:30, house opens at 7:30, show starts at 8.  The restaurant is three blocks away from the theater.  Recommendation is part near theater and walk down the street to restaurant.
