Set construction for Saturday, June 1st - 9am to noon
is at Peter & Karen's house: 4521 Park Woods Dr, Pollock Pines.

We can use 4 or 5 adults for a hammer-swingin', lumber-cuttin', wood-stainin' good time!

You don't have to be a construction engineer, but you do have to be able-bodied (in the loose-sense of the definition).  Come on, you'll have a good time!  And the sense of accomplishment is amazing!

Hi Fellow Cast Mates,

You will be receiving a  "Character Notes" handout at a rehearsal soon.  Do not put in your recycle bin :-)

Read,

Digest

And

Cogitate

on the ideas/questions on the sheets.  As ideas are seeded in your minds for your Les Mis character(s),

write them down  on the "Bio Notes" sheet.  A bit at a time . . .

The two handouts you will receive go together:  i.e. What is an "objective"?  The definition, yes, is in the handout for easy reference...  This will take time and some thought. 

What we will end up with is a village of folks who relate to one another other realistically - with family ties, real names, real stories.  We'll share this stuff as we roll along.  Be creative, have fun.  Some of you have already started!  Yay!! (Bless you)

This is a big musical with many complications and details.   This bio work will not only help us appear as better "actors" (this works!)  but will give us purpose and a special identity in this show.

Jenkinson Lake Estates, about 4 miles from 50

Call Peter at the gate for the code.
2nd Drive on left after gate, "Boltz"

Rehearsal Groups Work in Progress

Hello, My Pretties,

Please note that I omitted the Lovely Ladies from the Lovely Ladies rehearsal group
and the Turning Chorus from the Turning rehearsal group.
These were both Group (4), which has vocal rehearsal tonight!

We should all be properly grateful to Adeline Penn, who wins today's Error Notification Award. 
If there were such.
Which there isn't.

Group 4 is now repaired and bulked up to its proper fighting weight.

IT Facebook page

Peter said there was a Facebook page that we can "add as a friend" so we can get personal updates on practices etc. I looked it up the other day and all I found was the fan page for the company. So, all I could do is "like" the page... am I missing something here?

The Great Song #26 Error

Thank you to Kate Barba and Dale for noticing the latest error in the interpreting of the rehearsal schedule!

For Rehearsal Group 4, meeting next Wednesday, May 15, songs are "Lovely Ladies" and "Turning."  As Kate noted in her email of today, "Turning" is the second half of Song 25, "Javert's Suicide," and not Song 26 as I had it listed on the Production Blog.

It's corrected now.  Thanks.  Please only come to rehearsal if you are in the named groups.
It's okay to ask if you're not sure!

The rumor that we are instituting a prize for the most errors found in our scheduling is just that.

Bonjour! Two questions:

1. Can someone please explain what "SM" means on the Rehearsal Calendar?

2. There is nothing I can see on the calendar that specifically has (23) on it. Should Group (23) peeps assume to be at rehearsals that include Act 2, Sc 3? (Jul 15)

Great First Rehearsal

What a fun rehearsal last we had last week.  I am looking forward to the rehearsal process and eventually bringing this great play to life for our community.  Remember that our Cast and Crew Gathering is on Sunday, June 9th from 4 to 7 at Madrona's Vineyard in Camino.  Please remember to bring a folding chair as the Bushs don't have enough chairs for you and your family.  Lanny

Prisoner #5

Friends outside the Imagination Theater world have been asking me if I know what role I am going to be playing since auditions almost three weeks ago.  Well now I can at least partially answer that question.  Who am I? 24605( Prisoner #5) and also Bamatabois.  I may also be cast in other roles but that remains to be seen. 

This is my first attempt at any kind of theater so I am very excited and honored to have been cast in Les Miserables.  I've thoroughly enjoyed the audition process and eagerly look forward to working together with all of you for the next 8 months.  Thanks to all for welcoming me into the IT family.

Hey Everyone, Come see Cats at El Dorado High's outdoor Borelli Amphitheater in Placerville - it opens tonight! Les Mis cast members are cavorting as kitties: Gwen Lacher, Lindsey Thomas, and Hannah Drennan also, the amazing feline designs are by none other than our own Costume Queen, Terri Thomas! You'll see a cameo by a Wolfe Creature Workshop mouse as well. It's an amazingly talented cast and as always a top-quality show produced by the Elly-winning Master Tomei. The singing and dancing are unbelievable. IT CAST has several additional members performing that you'll not want to miss, including Ethan Fox and Sarah Erickson (and others that I probably thought were real cats).
